The Chess State – 1950s Dubrovnik Bobby Fischer Luxury Series Chessmen. The Chessmen feature a 3.7″King with a 1.5″ Diameter base and are heavily weighted. These chessmen are finely crafted by our craftsmen who have inherited this skill for so many years. From the perfect on the King to the minute details of the knight’s mane, these Golden RoseWood and Boxwood pieces have green felt on the bottom. The timeless beauty and the utility of this tournament series pattern chessmen has made it the set of choice for players and a highly prized design for collectors.
All the pieces are hand carved and it takes our expert carver upto 2 weeks to finish a full set and sometimes even more so we maintain a regular stock of all our items. All the pieces are weighted with individual metal studs inserted at the bottom to make them ideal for good balance and speed play. The beautiful Staunton chess set pieces with the meticulously handcrafted knights are carved with perfection and expert precision. It has been designed to withstand the rigours of practical play while maintaining an elegance.
