The Chess State – 1890 Lardy Staunton Series Chessmen. The Chessmen feature a 3.8″ King with a 1.5″ Diameter base and are heavily weighted. The tournament sized chess set is stunning masterpiece with attraction of mesmerising unique art of hand craftsmanship.
All the pieces are hand carved and it takes our expert carver upto 2 weeks to finish a full set and sometimes even more so we maintain a regular stock of all our items. All the pieces are weighted with individual metal studs inserted at the bottom to make them ideal for good balance and speed play. The beautiful Staunton chess set pieces with the meticulously handcrafted knights are carved with perfection and expert precision. It has been designed to withstand the rigours of practical play while maintaining an elegance.
